Cool painting! I'm envious. I am retired Army and used to live in the Heidelberg area. We loved it. Your painting captures the beauty of the small villages and countryside; makes me want to be there! Paint more!

As always, a very nice painting. From looking wife and my kids will be traveling to Europe nest summer (Germany and Italy). I hope to get new ideas for paintings.

I just went on Wet Canvas today and one of the first paintings I find is Neunkirchen # 2. My grandmother was born there and came to America when she was 13 years old. I am now 70, so that was a long time ago. Her name was Louisa Remmy. I have never seen a picture of her little town and even have trouble finding it on a map. You made my day. Your painting is wonderful.

Many comments on Neunkirchen. I was stationed in Landstuhl in the 1970's. At that time there was a mothballed army hospital near Neunkirchen. I went on to serve 6 years in Germany but the Pfalz was always my favorite. Hope that you enjoy the area.
